I went through a staffing agency but had consistent development conversations to assess whether Apple would hire me full-time.

Company culture

Apple had a very modern ambient, people were nice, eager, and had already drank the “Apple koolaid”. Trendiness was definitely part of the culture. There was a high-standard for customer service and pride in how well it was carried out. Although I felt I could be myself, at times I felt like I was bothering other people. Once I got past that I realized that anyone was willing to help.

Relationships with manager(s)

My training manager was the best, it helped that he was a Latino gay man. Managers were available to help anytime as were other people regardless of job titles. It was also helpful that management came from the field and understood nuances we, as representatives, had to face.

Training and career development

The training was very positive and well- researched. Hands-on work was done in tight quarters, therefore, it was part of a regular process to get live feedback and weekly supervision talks. I would speak to my staffing agency’s liaison weekly to get this feedback, it was addressed consistently.
