By giving our customers and partners, some of which are Fortune Global 500 companies across all industries, the most flexible commerce platform, which is based on a Microservices, API-first, true cloud, and headless architecture (we call it the MACH architecture*), we are not only helping them maintain their competitive advantage but we are also changing the e-commerce platform market. Historically, large enterprises have brought “suite”-style software from one vendor that performs all functions. We at commercetools, along with other MACH vendors, are pioneering a new approach to software whereby large enterprises can buy discrete pieces of software from different vendors like commercetools and our close partners.
The issue we at commercetools have is that many enterprise buyers have trouble understanding the full taxonomy of software in our space. From commerce, to content, to search, to order management and beyond, there’s a big landscape of enterprise software out there that buyers now need to fully understand. Previously, buyers didn’t have to make such decisions because their all-in-one suite vendor made all of those decisions for them.
For this project, we are looking for an intern to build an interactive website that allows people to visually explore the various software available. We’re thinking of an interactive mind map-type website. This internship will pay $20/hour.
